ASSET ASSESSMENT
In this process, organizational assets at risk of exploitation by criminals, vandals and terrorists are identified. In addition we prioritize assets so that those that are critical to the community are given priority for the distribution of upgrade/countermeasure resources.
THREAT ASSESSMENT
A cost effective Risk Management plan is based on the realistic capabilities and probabilities of a potential threat. There must be a fair and honest evaluation of how the threat has operated in the past: what methods have been used, the likelihood of an attack and the type of assets that have been attacked. When these factors are analyzed there is an increased probability that your countermeasures will be effective without the expense of over-preparing for an inflated worse case scenario.
VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT
Our expertise in the area of vulnerability assessments is based on:
• world wide targeting and exploitation experience
• thorough understanding of tactics, techniques and procedures used by terrorist groups
This process begins with an evaluation of existing countermeasures, procedures and practices in place at your facility. Once the current security profile is determined, weaknesses are then identified and recommendations are made to improve the site's security profile.
RISK ANALYSIS
In this final phase of the Risk Management model, security improvement packages are designed with the critical security characteristics of Deter, Detect, Delay, Interdict and Mitigate at the forefront of countermeasure design. Recommended facility upgrades are evaluated using a cost benefit analysis and can be subdivided into the following categories:
1. Cost
2. Time of implementation
3. Threat Level
The end product is a comprehensive analysis for your Risk Acceptance Authority that is well organized and easily understood.
