Ron Haskins - CEO
Ron served in the US Army for nine years. He began duties as a military policeman and culminated his career in the Special Forces, Green Berets. During his time in the Army Ron has served in combat operations and performed numerous Foreign Internal Defense missions.
Upon leaving the Army in 1996 Ron founded a company that specializes in training law enforcement officers (LEOs) and military personnel in firearms, close quarter battle and personal protection (body guard). He has conducted training throughout the United States and has received numerous state level credentials as a law enforcement-training expert.
In 1999 Ron became an instructor for the Department of State (DOS) Anti Terrorism Assistance Program. In his three years with DOS, he trained LEOs and Special Operations personnel from around the world. Topics of instruction included explosives, firearms, hostage rescue, rural border patrol operations and other aspects of both anti and counter terrorism.
After the events of 9/11 Ron became a primary instructor for the US Federal Air Marshal Agency at both the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and the FAA Technical Center. Ron was directly involved with procedures and curriculum development as well as the daily training of thousands of marshals. He then took a position as a lead instructor for the Seattle Field Office for Federal Air Marshals.
In January of 2004 Ron left the Air Marshal Service to work in Iraq where he provided security for Coalition Provisional Authority personnel. His duties included motorcade/convoy operations, threat and vulnerability analysis of work sites and venues, fixed site security and coordination of security efforts with Coalition and Iraqi Forces.
Ron is currently an instructor for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Domestic Protection, Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombings and Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings.
Ron holds numerous certifications at both the federal and state level for his expertise in the areas of firearms, close quarter tactics, non-lethal weapons, unarmed defensive techniques, crisis management, personal protection, officer survival and tactical response to weapons of mass destruction.
Pete Dufour - Vice President
Pete is a leading national authority on terrorist bombings and operations. He is a lead instructor and a developer for the DHS sponsored operational courses for Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings, Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents and the Maritime Bombing Incidents. He serves on numerous federal, state and local committees across the country addressing the current terrorist threat to the United States.
Pete has been in over thirty countries during his career working in both domestic and international operations. His background includes experience as a bomb technician and a Special Operations (Green Berets) tactical operator. In this capacity he has acted as a trainer in terrorist interdiction and has participated in intelligence gathering operations with the CIA, DEA, U.S. Secret Service, NEST, US Department of State, Department of Defense and other U.S. special response teams. Pete has trained law enforcement counter-terrorist strike teams from Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the former Soviet States.
After the events of 9/11 Pete served as a senior targeting analyst conducting the vulnerability assessmant and determining effective terrorist countermeasures for one of our nations highest profile targets in the Washington, DC area.
Aaron Richman
Aaron comes from a career in military and law enforcement in the Middle East. He specializes in emergency planning and training for incidents of weapons of mass destruction and suicide bombings.
After serving military combat tours in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and the West Bank with the Israel Defense Forces, he was recruited to the Israel National Police Central Command as an undercover officer. In this unit Richman was involved in counter terror and narcotics to combat suicide bombers. His prime responsibility was interdiction activity against suicide bombers on the mass transit system in Jerusalem.
As a patrol commander in Center City Jerusalem, Aaron managed the responses to numerous suicide bomber attacks at various locations throughout Center City Jerusalem to include the mass transit system.
His vast counter terrorism knowledge has had him involved int he the pre-planning phases to high profile events such as the Millennium Preparations, visit by Pope John Paul II, rioting at the Dome of the Rock, the Iraq chemical threat on Israel, and counter terror programs to combat the suicide bombers.
Mr. Richman is a licensed paramedic and has partaken in numerous training events associated with emergency services and law enforcement, sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security. He has instructed paramedics, law enforcement personnel, and emergency managers in mass casualty incidents, suicide bombers, and weapons of mass destruction responses and planning.
Lee Hazlewood
Lee began his emergency management career as a Constable in London and joined their Immediate Response Bomb Unit during the height of the IRA’s London bombing campaign. Lee moved to the United States in 1994 and became a law enforcement trainer and post blast investigator for the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department in Savannah, GA. While working with Georgia’s Regional K-9 Training Center, Lee developed the first Explosive Incident Specialist program for K-9 teams in the United States In 2000 Lee became an Emergency Management Coordinator for the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management (DEM) where he was heavily involved in developing plans and conducting training in the areas of Incident Command, WMD and Emergency Operations Center Management. In 2003, while still working with Snohomish DEM, Lee assumed duties as the Homeland Security Program Manager. In this capacity he serves on the Washington State Committee on Terrorism, Training Sub-Committee. Lee is an instructor of numerous emergency management programs including Incident Command System and National Incident Management System. Lee also teaches Office of Domestic Preparedness training programs such as Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings, Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents, and Response to Weapons of Mass Destruction for Emergency Management Services.
Matt Lynaugh
Matt served in the US Navy for 6 years. He began duties in intelligence and culminated his career as a Navy SEAL. During his time in the Navy Matt served in combat and intelligence operations and performed numerous overseas deployments.
While on active duty Matt trained extensively in maritime security operations including: Close Quarters Battle, Underway Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS), Oil Platform Security, Combat Swimmer, and Counter Combat Swimmer Operations. Upon completion of his deployments, Matt worked as a primary firearms and tactics instructor conducting training for domestic and foreign military personnel.
While deployed to Kuwait Matt worked with Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service to evaluate and update Non-combatant Evacuation Operations plans and routes for US Embassypersonnel. This included conducting site security assessments for government installations, business sites and private residences.
From 2002 to 2005 Matt served as a Federal Air Marshal where he was responsible for in-flight protection and security of US air carriers, passengers, and crew and he also enforced and investigated violations of federal statutes. While with the Air Marshal Service he assumed duties as a FAM instructor where he developed training on counter-surveillance, physical fitness training, and supervised firearms and tactics training
Matt holds numerous certifications for his expertise in the areas of firearms, close quarters tactics, non-lethal weapons and unarmed defensive techniques.
Steve Bailey
Steve currently serves as a team leader and training officer for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Team and Maritime Response Team. Steve holds numerous instructor certifications from federal agencies such as the FBI, Department of Justice and Department of State. In the aftermath of Katrina, Steve led a crisis response team in the New Orleans area conducting tactical law enforcement operations to maintain law and order in the region. Steve is currently an instructor for the Department of State’s Anti Terrorism Crisis Response Team Course and a contract instructor for Southern Anti-terrorist Regional Training Academy. In both of these programs he teaches advanced Close Quarter Battle, firearms use and tactics, active shooter response, hostage rescue and other counter terrorism skills to law enforcement personnel from both the United States and abroad.
Prior to his current law enforcement duties Steve served in the Marine Corps’ Force Reconnaissance unit where he specialized in Close Quarter Battle. During his time in the military Steve attended the US Army’s Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Target Analysis and Exploitation Techniques course where he was selected as the Distinguished Graduate.
John Skalos
John has a master’s degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Emergency Management which he applies to his duties as a Disaster Assistance Employee with FEMA. In this capacity he has deployed to over 20 federally declared disasters throughout the United States. His extensive knowledge of the National Incident Management System, the Incident Command System and the Federal Response Plan, placed John as Section Chief of Information and Planning during the entire hurricane season of 2004. Prior to his work with FEMA John served 20 years as a warrant officer in the US Army Special Forces. While in the Green Berets, John specialized in intelligence and terrorist threat assessment. John eventually instructed these topics at the Special Warfare Center and School.
John is currently an instructor for the Office of Domestic Preparedness - Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents.
